Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 17, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Concrete Calculation uses browser cookies and local web storage to store your preferences and history when you visit our website.

What is Local Web Storage?

While traditional websites use "Cookies" (small text files sent to web servers), modern applications like Concrete Calculation utilize **HTML5 Web Storage** (Local Storage). This stores information directly on your computer's browser, allowing for much larger, faster, and more secure storage capacity without transmitting data over the internet.

Our Inventory of Storage Items

Concrete Calculation does not use tracking, advertising, or profiling cookies. We only use functional storage items necessary to run the web application:

Key Name Type Purpose Duration
concrete_calculation_estimates HTML5 localStorage Stores your saved project details, shapes, dimensions, and costs. Persistent (Until cleared)
concrete_calculation_theme HTML5 localStorage Remembers your preference for Dark Mode vs Light Mode layouts. Persistent (Until cleared)

How Can You Manage Storage?

Because these items are stored directly inside your browser, you have complete control over them:

  • Clearing Projects: You can delete all estimates from the calculator page directly by clicking the Clear History button on the project tracker table.
  • Browser settings: You can clear all Web Storage at any time through your browser's settings:
    • Go to your browser settings (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Safari).
    • Clear "Cookies and other site data."
    • This will delete both the theme preferences and saved projects history immediately.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We encourage visitors to review this page periodically to remain informed of any modifications.
